Rubin Gerritsen ffabb09c1a samples: bluetooth: central_iso: Remove the CONFIG_BT_SMP=y
Some SoCs in the nRF52 series do not support encrypting and decrypting
isochronous channels packets.

To make it easier to get started with the central_iso sample,
we want to turn of SMP by default. Without this config,
the sample still serves its purpose.
Encrypting the isochronous channel is as simple as
enabling BT_SMP.

Rubin Gerritsen f086afd47c samples: Bluetooth: Only connect to devices with rssi below -50
When the Bluetooth central samples in an open air environment
it is very likely that there are multiple devices nearby with
a received signal strength stronger than -70 dBm.

To avoid connecting to the wrong device, make the check stricter.

For tests using those samples, the NtNcable attenuation is changed
from the default 60 dBm to 40 dBm to satisfy the new requirement.

Emil Gydesen 3e634268d6 Bluetooth: ISO: Introduce bt_iso_chan_send_ts
The bt_iso_chan_send function could take an optional
timestamp by using 0 as an indicator. The issue with
this approach was that a timestamp value of 0 is valid,
and could cause potential issue with syncing streams
in a group.

To fully support transmitting with and without timestamp,
bt_iso_chan_send_ts has been introduced, which is the only
function of the two (bt_iso_chan_send being the other) that
supports timestamps.

A new function, rather than adding a boolean to the existing,
was chosen as it simplifies the individual functions as well
as making it more explicit what the function does.

Since the bt_iso_chan_send function is used by LE audio, both
the BAP and CAP send functions have similarly been updated.
Likewise, all tests and samples have been updated to use the
updated function(s), and BT_ISO_TIMESTAMP_NONE has been
removed.

Andries Kruithof 8b3b8cf2ad Bluetooth: ISO: extend API for setting SDU interval
The BT Core Spec v5.4 allows separate SDU_Interval to
be set on C_To_P and P_To_C directions,
but this is not possible with the existing interface.

This PR splits the interval parameter in the call to
bt_iso_sig_create into one for C_To_P
and one for P_To_C

It also splits the latency parameter into one for
C_To_P and one for P_To_C

Théo Battrel e9ee3e0af0 Bluetooth: Samples: Remove usage of BT_DEBUG_LOG
Remove usage of Kconfig symbol `CONFIG_BT_DEBUG_LOG` from samples. It
has been deprecated since this PR:
https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/zephyr/pull/56183

The Kconfig symbols has been replaced by `CONFIG_LOG=y` on most of the
cases. Or it has been removed when not needed anymore.

Keith Packard 0b90fd5adf samples, tests, boards: Switch main return type from void to int
As both C and C++ standards require applications running under an OS to
return 'int', adapt that for Zephyr to align with those standard. This also
eliminates errors when building with clang when not using -ffreestanding,
and reduces the need for compiler flags to silence warnings for both clang
and gcc.

Most of these changes were automated using coccinelle with the following
script:

@@
@@
- void
+ int
main(...) {
	...
-	return;
+	return 0;
	...
}

Approximately 40 files had to be edited by hand as coccinelle was unable to
fix them.

Kumar Gala dca600bd19 samples/tests: bluetooth: Remove qemu_cortex_m3
Remove qemu_cortex_m3 from various bluetooth tests and samples since
they enable NVS which requires CONFIG_FLASH_PAGE_LAYOUT which is
not supported on qemu_cortex_m3 since there is no flash driver.

We get build failures with the arm-clang compiler because nvs.c
is referencing z_impl_flash_get_page_info_by_offs which does not
exist.

Switch to qemu_x86 as the integration_platforms if it was
qemu_cortex_m3 before.

Removed the bluetooth.mesh.mesh_shell.reduced_legacy as this was
added specifically for building on qemu_cortex_m3.

integration_platforms help us control what get built/executed in CI and

just minimize the amount of builds/testing for a particular
tests/sample.
Tests still run on all supported platforms when not in integration mode.

Emil Gydesen 31bf99cbd2 Bluetooth: ISO: Change ISO seq_num to 16-bit
The sequence number is by the core spec defined as 16-bit.
We had implemented a workaround for the wrapping of the
sequence number, which required the type to be larger
than 16-bit (32-bit).

However, since the definition of the sequence number,
and the use of, is poorly defined by the core spec, we
are reverting this workaround and reducing the sequence
number to 16-bit again. This way it is more in line
with the core spec, as well as more intuitive given the
other uses for the sequence number.

This change moves the responsibility of using the
right value to the upper layers, as the stack can
and will no longer provide any guarantees.

Gerard Marull-Paretas 79e6b0e0f6 includes: prefer <zephyr/kernel.h> over <zephyr/zephyr.h>
As of today <zephyr/zephyr.h> is 100% equivalent to <zephyr/kernel.h>.
This patch proposes to then include <zephyr/kernel.h> instead of
<zephyr/zephyr.h> since it is more clear that you are including the
Kernel APIs and (probably) nothing else. <zephyr/zephyr.h> sounds like a
catch-all header that may be confusing. Most applications need to
include a bunch of other things to compile, e.g. driver headers or
subsystem headers like BT, logging, etc.

The idea of a catch-all header in Zephyr is probably not feasible
anyway. Reason is that Zephyr is not a library, like it could be for
example `libpython`. Zephyr provides many utilities nowadays: a kernel,
drivers, subsystems, etc and things will likely grow. A catch-all header
would be massive, difficult to keep up-to-date. It is also likely that
an application will only build a small subset. Note that subsystem-level
headers may use a catch-all approach to make things easier, though.

NOTE: This patch is **NOT** removing the header, just removing its usage
in-tree. I'd advocate for its deprecation (add a #warning on it), but I
understand many people will have concerns.

Emil Gydesen 6786bbdb32 Bluetooth: ISO: Add sn and ts to bt_iso_chan_send
Add two new parameters to bt_iso_chan_send:
sn: The packet sequence number which shall be incremeted
per SDU interval.
ts: An optional timestamp value used to synchronize SDUs.

The sequence number in the API uses a 32-bit value even though
the sequence number for the HCI command is 16-bit. This is to
properly handle wrapping of sequence numbers, which is much
easier to do with additional bits allocated.
