Gustavo Silva 722e04da3c flash: stm32: configurable write block sizes
Add new devicetree bindings for F4 and L1 series for configuration of
block size used in flash write operations.

Allow byte-size write operations in `flash_stm32f1x.c`. This file is
being shared between F0, F1, F3, L0 and L1 series. L0 and L1 series
allows for single byte writes.

Bjarki Arge Andreasen 6f28ea08a5 atmel: sam: flash: Add flash pages property
This commit adds layput page cells to the atmel sam flash
controller and the flash node. These allow for describing
the actual flash page layout of each soc, allowing the
flash driver to fully utilize the capabilities of the
flash.

With this update, we unlock the following capabilties:
  - utilize 2048 erase block size for small sectors
  - utilize 16384 erase block size for large sectors

Andrzej Głąbek 0b573a1f38 drivers: spi_flash_at45: Fix erasing of first two sectors
Most available AT45 flash chips have their first two sectors shorter
than the consecutive ones. Usually, the first sector is marked as 0a
and has its size equal to eight pages (one block) and the second one
(usually 0b) is the complement to the size of a regular sector.
This commits modifies the driver so that erasing of these first two
sectors is performed correctly. This modified behavior is configurable
with a new DT property so that it is still possible to also use legacy
AT45 chips that do not feature such sector split. Such legacy chips
usually also do not support the chip erase and sector erase commands,
so two more DT properties are introduced to cover that.

Martí Bolívar 7a77a31436 dts: fix location of stm32-specific property
The max-erase-time property was introduced for the STM32 flash driver,
but it was inserted as an optional property in the generic
soc-nv-flash binding which is used by other SoCs.

Make it a required property in a new st,stm32-nv-flash binding
instead, since it is at present a vendor specific property.

Update the DTS files accordingly. Keep the existing "soc-nv-flash"
value in the compatible list in each case, so that DT_HAS_COMPAT(...
soc_nv_flash) tests on these nodes will still succeed, but put it
after a newly added "st,stm32-nv-flash" compatible, so that the
SoC-specific binding will be used as it is discovered first by the DT
tooling.

Laczen JMS 232272cff8 drivers: eeprom: EEPROM emulation in flash memory
This driver emulates a EEPROM device in flash.

Reworked implementation with modified flash layout.

The emulation represents the EEPROM in flash as a region that is a
direct map of the eeprom data followed by a region where changes to
the eeprom data is stored. Changes are written as address-data
combinations. The size of such a combination is determined by the
flash write block size and the size of the eeprom (required address
space), with a minimum of 4 byte.
The eeprom page needs to be a multiple of the flash page. Multiple
eeprom pages is also so supported and increases the number of writes
that can be performed.

The eeprom size, pagesize and the flash partition used for the eeprom
are defined in the dts. The flash partition should allow at least two
eeprom pages. For fast read access a rambuffer can be enabled for the
eeprom (by setting the option rambuf in the dts).
