Fabio Baltieri 794893315a intc: loapic: convert DEVICE_DEFINE to DEVICE_DT_INST_DEFINE
Convert DEVICE_DEFINE to DEVICE_DT_INST_DEFINE, this allows the build
system to track the device dependencies and ensure that the interrupt
controller is initialized before other devices using it.

Umar Nisar 31a6594212 drivers: loapic: add device tree support for loapic
As per #26393, Local APIC is using Kconfig based option for
the base address. This patch adds DTS binding support in the driver,
just like its conunter part I/O APIC.

Simon Hein d0921018fc drivers: Fix coding guidelines MISRAC:2012 Rule 14.4 do-whiles/Zero checks
MISRA C:2012 Rule 14.4 (The controlling expression of an if statement
and the controlling expression of an iteration-statement shall have
essentially Boolean type.)

Use `do { ... } while (false)' instead of `do { ... } while (0)'.
Use comparisons with zero instead of implicitly testing integers.

The commit is a subset of the original auditable-branch commit:

Maureen Helm 41634c82cc drivers: interrupt_controller: Refactor drivers to use shared init prio
Refactors interrupt controller drivers to use the shared driver class
initialization priority configuration, CONFIG_INTC_INIT_PRIORITY, to
allow configuring interrupt controller drivers separately from other
devices. This is similar to other driver classes.

The default is set to CONFIG_KERNEL_INIT_PRIORITY_DEFAULT to preserve
the existing default initialization priority for most drivers.

Gerard Marull-Paretas ddc168fa78 pm: s/PM_DEVICE_(DT_(INST))_REF/PM_DEVICE_(DT_(INST))_GET
In order to align with macros used to obtain a device reference (e.g.
DEVICE_DT_GET), align the PM macros to use "GET" instead of "REF". This
change should have low impact since no official release has gone out yet
with the "REF" macros.

Gerard Marull-Paretas 89a4f36fc8 device: remove inclusion of pm/device.h
The device PM subsystem _depends_ on device, not vice-versa. Devices
only hold a reference to struct pm_device now, and initialize this
reference with the value provided in Z_DEVICE_DEFINE. This requirement
can be solved with a forward struct declaration, meaning there is no
need to include device PM headers.

Gerard Marull-Paretas 7ccc1a41bc pm: use actions for device PM control
Instead of passing target states, use actions for device PM control.
Actions represent better the meaning of the callback argument.
Furthermore, they are more future proof as they can be suitable for
other PM actions that have no direct mapping to a state. If we compare
with Linux, we could have a multi-stage suspend/resume. Such scenario
would not have a good mapping when using target states.

- Return -ENOTSUP if the requested state is not supported
- Remove redundant "noop style" functions.
- Use switch everywhere to handle requested state (not necessary in all
  drivers, but better take off with consistency in place after current
  changes).

Gerard Marull-Paretas c2cf1ad203 pm: device: remove usage of local states
The device PM subsystem already holds the device state, so there is no
need to keep duplicates inside the device. The pm_device_state_get has
been refactored to just return the device state. Note that this is still
not safe, but the same applied to the previous implementation. This
problem will be addressed later.

Gerard Marull-Paretas cc2f0e9c08 pm: use enum for device PM states
Move all PM_DEVICE_STATE_* definitions to an enum. The
PM_DEVICE_STATE_SET and PM_DEVICE_STATE_GET definitions have been kept
out of the enum since they do not represent any state. However, their
name has not been changed since they will be removed soon.

All drivers and tests have been adjusted accordingly.

Tomasz Bursztyka 915f4ac3c7 drivers/interrupt_controller: Get the IOAPIC RTEs dynamically
The fixed number of 24 RTEs is a legacy thing, and long gone by now.
IOAPICs expose the maximum number of RTEs they have via the version
register, so let's use it.

This avoids to manually tweak a Kconfig option (which is now removed)
and fixes the RTE number for all x86 targets relevantly.

Tomasz Bursztyka e18fcbba5a device: Const-ify all device driver instance pointers
Now that device_api attribute is unmodified at runtime, as well as all
the other attributes, it is possible to switch all device driver
instance to be constant.

Zide Chen d27f6cb5eb interrupt_controller: program local APIC LDR register for xAPIC
If IO APIC is in logical destination mode, local APICs compare their
logical APIC ID defined in LDR (Logical Destination Register) with
the destination code sent with the interrupt to determine whether or not
to accept the incoming interrupt.

This patch programs LDR in xAPIC mode to support IO APIC logical mode.

The local APIC ID from local APIC ID register can't be used as the
'logical APIC ID' because LAPIC ID may not be consecutive numbers hence
it makes it impossible for LDR to encode 8 IDs within 8 bits.

This patch chooses 0 for BSP, and for APs, cpu_number which is the index
to x86_cpuboot[], which ultimately assigned in z_smp_init[].

Tomasz Bursztyka c30600d4ab drivers/interrupt_controller: Adopt file naming as other drivers
Pattern being <domain>_<model>.<c/h>.
Here interrupt_controller as a domain would be far too long so
shortening it to "intc", as DTS does actually.
