User is able to enable packet capture for low level HDLC data
frames received from and sent to network. This data can sent to
remote system for analysis. The captured data is encapsulated
into Linux cooked mode SLL packets.

Use NSI_HW_EVENT() in order to periodically check for events in host
sockets. Whenever there is a socket event ready to be processed by Zephyr,
raise native_sim (newly introduced) CPU interrupt, so that Zephyr driver
can signal readiness with k_poll().
Maintain a list of Zephyr poll() executions in Zephyr context. Iterate
through them whenever there is some event to be processed.

Add driver for 'native_sim' target that implements offloaded socket
networking by the use of host networking stack and wrapped BSD sockets API.
This driver has following advantages over existing networking drivers for
emulated platforms that are already in tree:
* no TUN/TAP use means that no additional setup is required on the host
side:
* possible to use it within unpriviledged Docker containers, either for
development or in CI
* possibility to use and test offloaded sockets
(CONFIG_NET_SOCKETS_OFFLOAD=y) with emulated target, which allows
to increase tests coverage of this feature, without requirement of using
hardware
Native Simulator host libc has different error codes than embedded libc
used by Zephyr. Convert between those.

Its default value (100 ms) resulted in PDUs big enough to never make it
through on a slow enough UART (e.g. ~1152-byte PDUs on a UART@115200).
The UART TXs were silently aborted.
A no-timeout value is now allowed and made the default.
Additional warnings are logged when it is likely that a UART TX
was aborted due to a too low timeout for the used baud rate.

Unify the drivers/*/Kconfig menuconfig title strings to the format
"<class> [(acronym)] [bus] drivers".
Including both the full name of the driver class and an acronym makes
menuconfig more user friendly as some of the acronyms are less well-known
than others. It also improves Kconfig search, both via menuconfig and via
the generated Kconfig documentation.

Add CONFIG_CRC for building CRC related routines.
CRC routines are now being built for each application, whether used or
not and are add in the build system unconditionally.
Keep CONFIG_CRC enabled by default for now and until all users have
converted to use the new option.

Move the CAN bus network driver from drivers/can to drivers/net as it
implements a network driver, not a CAN controller driver.
Use a separate Kconfig for enabling the CAN bus network driver instead of
piggybacking on the SocketCAN Kconfig. This allows for other
(e.g. out-of-tree) SocketCAN transports.

Move from using Kconfig NET_PPP_UART_NAME to a devicetree chosen
property ("zephyr,ppp-uart"). This is similar to a number of other
functions like "zephyr,shell-uart" or "zephyr,bt-uart".
As part of this we rework the init code a little to use
DEVICE_DT_GET for the modem gsm-ppp case.

To allow for high level robustness tests on protocols, add an interface
to control the packet drop rate. A rate of 0 means no packet dropped, a
rate of 1 means all packets being dropped.

Updated uart_rx_enable() and uart_tx() to use timeout given
in microseconds. Previously argument was given in milliseconds.

Adding NET_DRIVERS menuconfig so that network drivers are grouped
together in its own menu entry under drivers, similar to most other
drivers.
This further has the advantages that `CONFIG_NET_DRIVERS` can be used
for testing to determine if network drivers has been selected.
This changed revealed a dependency loop where both `select` (for SLIP)
and `depends` (for PPP) which both depends on NET_DRIVERS` where in use
in the dependency tree for Qemu networking, especially NET_SLIP_TAP.
This is handled by defaulting `NET_DRIVERS` to `y` when building for a
Qemu target.
`SLIP` had a dependency to `!QEMU_TARGET || NET_QEMU_SLIP`. This is
changed so that SLIP prompt depends on `!QEMU_TARGET` which provides
full user control in hardware but makes the symbol promptless on Qemu
targets.

Introducing PPP dialup features to enable e.g. usage of nrf9160
based board as a dialup modem for transferring ip data over PPP
(e.g. windows dial up), i.e. usage of Zephyr PPP as a server for
providing MTU/MRU, IP address and DNS addresses for a PC:
- PPP LCP MRU option (configurable)
- PPP server: IPCP ip and dns address peer options to enable
providing IP and DNS addresses for PPP peer.

PPP implementation uses ring_buffer API, but RING_BUFFER Kconfig option
was not selected so far. This resulted in linker errors about undefined
reference to `ring_buf_get_claim' and 'ring_buf_put'.
Add missing RING_BUFFER selection via Kconfig, so PPP driver is properly
built.

Before establishing the ppp connection, windows sends the string CLIENT
and expects the reply CLIENTSERVER from the modem.
This functionality is implemented in the new function
ppp_handle_client().
This feature must be enabled via Kconfig.

Clean up space errors and use a consistent style throughout the Kconfig
files. This makes reading the Kconfig files more distraction-free, helps
with grepping, and encourages the same style getting copied around
everywhere (meaning another pass hopefully won't be needed).
Go for the most common style:
- Indent properties with a single tab, including for choices.
Properties on choices work exactly the same syntactically as
properties on symbols, so not sure how the no-indentation thing
happened.
- Indent help texts with a tab followed by two spaces
- Put a space between 'config' and the symbol name, not a tab. This
also helps when grepping for definitions.
- Do '# A comment' instead of '#A comment'
I tweaked Kconfiglib a bit to find most of the stuff.
Some help texts were reflowed to 79 columns with 'gq' in Vim as well,
though not all, because I was afraid I'd accidentally mess up
formatting.

Consistently use
config FOO
bool/int/hex/string "Prompt text"
instead of
config FOO
bool/int/hex/string
prompt "Prompt text"
(...and a bunch of other variations that e.g. swapped the order of the
type and the 'prompt', or put other properties between them).
The shorthand is fully equivalent to using 'prompt'. It saves lines and
avoids tricking people into thinking there is some semantic difference.
Most of the grunt work was done by a modified version of
https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/26284/how-can-i-use-sed-to-replace-a-multi-line-string/26290#26290, but some
of the rarer variations had to be converted manually.

Bool symbols implicitly default to 'n'.
A 'default n' can make sense e.g. in a Kconfig.defconfig file, if you
want to override a 'default y' on the base definition of the symbol. It
isn't used like that on any of these symbols though, and is
inconsistent.
This will make the auto-generated Kconfig documentation have "No
defaults. Implicitly defaults to n." as well, which is clearer than
'default n if ...'

Loopback is a networking interface which doesn't actually transfer
any data via link layer externally, and instead just mirrors back
(i.e. any packet send to the loopback interface will be received from
it). This interface very useful for testing.
