Henrik Brix Andersen d4023b3c1b drivers: gpio: move non-standard dts flags to be soc specific
Reserve the upper 8 bits of gpio_dt_flags_t for SoC specific flags and
move the non-standard, hardware-specific GPIO devicetree flags (IO
voltage level, drive strength, debounce filter) from the generic
dt-bindings/gpio/gpio.h header to SoC specific dt-bindings headers.

Some of the SoC specific dt-bindings flags take up more bits than
necessary in order to retain backwards compatibility with the deprecated
GPIO flags. The width of these fields can be reduced/optimized once the
deprecated flags are removed.

Remove hardcoded use of GPIO_INT_DEBOUNCE in GPIO client drivers. This
flag can now be set in the devicetree for boards/SoCs with debounce
filter support. The SoC specific debounce flags have had the _INT part
of their name removed since these flag must be passed to
gpio_pin_configure(), not gpio_pin_interrupt_configure().

Ryan McClelland ecf99abc17 drivers: gpio: set all on-chip gpios to PRE_KERNEL_1/2 init
PRE_KERNEL_1 is to be used for devices that have no dependencies
and do not use kernel features, such as those that rely solely on
hardware present in the processor/SOC. This commit updates these
gpios to initialize during the PRE_KERNEL_1 rather than the
POST_KERNEL. Some SoC drivers are moved to PRE_KERNEL_2 due
to dependencies.

A lot of 'other' drivers can depend on GPIOs though phandles
(such as reset lines, data or command gpios, etc...). Most of these
drivers that would need this would come up on the POST_KERNEL,
and it's likely the driver may not be up yet as it should be defined.

Maureen Helm 836651b453 drivers: gpio: Refactor drivers to use shared init priority
Refactors all of the on-chip GPIO drivers to use a shared driver class
initialization priority configuration, CONFIG_GPIO_INIT_PRIORITY, to
allow configuring GPIO drivers separately from other devices. This is
similar to other driver classes like I2C and SPI.

Most drivers previously used CONFIG_KERNEL_INIT_PRIORITY_DEFAULT or
CONFIG_KERNEL_INIT_PRIORITY_DEVICE, therefore the default for this new
option is the lower of the two, which means earlier initialization.

Driver-specific options for off-chip I2C- or SPI-based GPIO drivers are
left intact because they often need to be initialized at a different
priority than on-chip GPIO drivers.

Martí Bolívar 6e8775ff84 devicetree: remove DT_HAS_NODE_STATUS_OKAY
Several reviewers agreed that DT_HAS_NODE_STATUS_OKAY(...) was an
undesirable API for the following reasons:

- it's inconsistent with the rest of the DT_NODE_HAS_FOO names
- DT_NODE_HAS_FOO_BAR_BAZ(node) was agreed upon as a shorthand
for macros which are equivalent to
  DT_NODE_HAS_FOO(node) && DT_NODE_HAS_BAR(node) &&
- DT_NODE_HAS_BAZ(node), and DT_HAS_NODE_STATUS_OKAY is an odd duck
- DT_NODE_HAS_STATUS(..., okay) was viewed as more readable anyway
- it is seen as a somewhat aesthetically challenged name

Replace all users with DT_NODE_HAS_STATUS(..., okay), which is
semantically equivalent.

This is mostly done with sed, but a few remaining cases were done by
hand, along with whitespace, docs, and comment changes. These special
cases include the Nordic SOC static assert files.

Peter Bigot 1947481cce gpio: deprecate gpio pin callback enable and disable API
These have been replaced by the appropriate call to
gpio_pin_interrupt_configure(). While the disable function could be
implemented using the new functionality, the enable function cannot
because the interrupt mode is not available. Consequently we cannot
replace these with equivalent functionality using the legacy API.

Clean up the internal implementation by removing the inaccessible
port-based enable/disable feature, leaving the pin-based capability in
place.

Derek Hageman 4462069d74 drivers: gpio: sam0: Add interrupt support
This adds interrupt support to the SAM0 GPIO driver. This is heavily
inspired by @nzmichaelh work in #5715. The primary difference
from that implementation is that here the External Interrupt
Controller (EIC) is separated out into an interrupt controller driver
that is less tightly coupled to the GPIO API. Instead it implements
more of a conversion from the EIC's own odd multiplexing to a more
traditional port and pin mask IRQ-like callback. Unfortunately,
through the EIC on the SAMD2x are relatively well behaved
in terms of pin to EIC line mappings, other chips that share the
peripheral interface are not. So the EIC driver implements a
per-line lookup to the pin and port pair using definitions extracted
from the ASF headers.

The EIC driver still makes some assumptions about how it will be used:
mostly it assumes exactly one callback per port. This should be fine
as the only intended user is the GPIO driver itself.

This has been tested with some simple programs and with
tests/drivers/gpio/gpio_basic_api on a SAMD21 breakout and an
adafruit_trinket_m0 board.

Andrzej Głąbek 20202902f2 dts_fixups: Use DT_ prefix in all defined labels not related to Kconfig
These changes were obtained by running a script created by
Ulf Magnusson <Ulf.Magnusson@nordicsemi.no> for the following
specification:

1. Read the contents of all dts_fixup.h files in Zephyr
2. Check the left-hand side of the #define macros (i.e. the X in
   #define X Y)
3. Check if that name is also the name of a Kconfig option
3.a If it is, then do nothing
3.b If it is not, then replace CONFIG_ with DT_ or add DT_ if it
has neither of these two prefixes
4. Replace the use of the changed #define in the code itself
   (.c, .h, .ld)

Additionally, some tweaks had to be added to this script to catch some
of the macros used in the code in a parameterized form, e.g.:
- CONFIG_GPIO_STM32_GPIO##__SUFFIX##_BASE_ADDRESS
- CONFIG_UART_##idx##_TX_PIN
- I2C_SBCON_##_num##_BASE_ADDR
and to prevent adding DT_ prefix to the following symbols:
- FLASH_START
- FLASH_SIZE
- SRAM_START
- SRAM_SIZE
- _ROM_ADDR
- _ROM_SIZE
- _RAM_ADDR
- _RAM_SIZE
which are surprisingly also defined in some dts_fixup.h files.

Finally, some manual corrections had to be done as well:
- name##_IRQ -> DT_##name##_IRQ in uart_stm32.c
